A headline in the West, "Perth gripped by redbull fever". What bollocks again.  I don't know anybody who is in a fever. Some mild interest perhaps but I haven't met anyone shaking, sweating, suffering delerium and losing control of their bladder and bowels over it.

I had a look at it last year and it is comparable to yacht racing for monotony. Nobody I spoke to last year was very impressed and if my memory serves me right the West exagerrated the crowd numbers (I wonder if they are sponsors?). Even before lunch there were more people leaving than going.

It's good for 10 minutes and then gets real dull.  As much fun as watching blowflies but noisier and more colourful.
But having said all that it is good for the city, it's something a bit different. Noisy and colourful is good, fever gripping it ain't.
